How to start planning my trip to Bhutan?
Hi Biswarup,
Good call on adding Bhutan to your bucket list! The land promises you tons of adventure. Like any other trip the first thing you need to do is set your budget for this trip and then move on to all else. There could be an infinite ways of planning your trip but primarily it boils down few things as below:
1. Decide which point of entry into the country works for you. You can either take a flight into the country or by road through the border town in south.
2. Decide which places you would like to visit and activities you would like to engage in and come up with an itinerary.
3. Make hotel and airline reservations
4. Decide on your preferred mode of transportation within the country. Most preferred is hiring SUV or mid sized coach. You could also strike a deal with a taxi driver or you are also allowed to drive your own car but involves additional paper work. For more detail refer to https://www.bookmytour.bt/travel-guide/transport
5. Lastly visa and immigration documents - for all Indian, Bangladeshi and Maldivian nationals, you do not require a visa to enter Bhutan, however you do need to apply for entry permit. For more detail refer to https://www.bookmytour.bt/travel-guide/visas-immigration
