The Yu-Gharling Resort & Spa stands boldly overlooking the Choekhor valley. The traditional-style architecture boasts of its environment-friendly features as it was built with the bricks that were locally produced and the wall paints are a vegetable dye, but the best feature is the breathtaking views of the Chamkhar Chu River, the ancient monasteries, the golden paddy fields and the stunning village houses. The mountains and the woods that enclose the resort add value to one’s experience with nature.Yu- Gharling was established in 2010 with 14 rooms in the main structure and 30 rooms with balcony in 7 cottages. Rooms are enormous and offer the most spectacular views but the best can be experienced particularly from the highly suggested 'cottages' with balconies.
The Resort also offers a separate spacious bar with a billiard table and a great collection of wines. The dining area is massive with a seating capacity of 120 where international and Bhutanese dishes are served.
At Yu-Gharling one can also rejuvenate with their health club which offers facilities like steam, sauna, Jacuzzi and a Bhutanese traditional stone and mineral bath. The lobby brags a café and a tea room with Wi-Fi connectivity.
