An outlet to market and sell products made by farmers from local communities in Bhutan.
OGOP is an initiative by the Queen’s Project office. It aims to uplift the livelihoods of farmers by encouraging them to sell products that are made in their community. The program teaches and assists local farmers in packaging and branding their products. An outlet to market these products has been set up in Thimphu. The shop shelves are stored with beautifully packaged organic farm produce.
Every product narrating a story of a local farmer or an artist and their families and community and tourists can walk away satisfied knowing that supporting them by buying their products will have bettered their livelihood. These products sold are ideal as souvenirs.
